Hello Everyone,

    This is a cool site I think that this area really needs this type of connection. I am interested in bringing some more action to our little scene up here. wondering others thoughts on this matter.... I have thoughts like
ECO tourism, simple affordable lodging, indoor recreation, some gardening....
the list goes on..... lots of ideas, looking for other interested folks.

Hey Matthew,

Yeah, I put this site up for the local scene, as well as out of towner's who want to check out Baker and the area.  The idea is to keep it free, easy, and with no agenda other than to give people another way of staying connected.

I make the scripts that run this site and if you have any ideas about things we could do to make this a better place, don't hesitate to let me know.

Joseph Garcia is trying to get a lodge (The Trailhead) built across the street from the Rim, and along with a place for music and things, the idea is to get into some of the things you mention above, eco tourism, simple and affordable lodging, and as you say, the list goes on.

However, that project is moving slowly for the usual reasons (financing) so we're not sure when that will break ground.
